Choke (motor bike)

To facilitate the starting of a Motor bike, one can use a choke, often essential in cold weather

This one can be located on the left handle or on the Carburateur S. It takes the shape of a lever which one draws or which one pushes when it is with the Guidon, or of a “pull knob” on the carburettors.

Operation of the choke:

The lever or the pull knob, via a cable for the lever, closes an air intake

The engines supplied with electronic injection are deprived of choke, the calculator being given the responsability to inject the exact quantity of fuel to starting.

  • Driving cold: the driving mode goes up, being at the top of the mode of idle, the air mixture/gasoline is richer (it does not have there more gasoline but less air; the mixture thus contains a greater proportion of gasoline) and makes it possible not to fix.
  • Driving heat: the enriched mixture drowns the engine.

After having let the engine heat during one short minute, one cuts the starter.
