Chogyur Lingpa

Chogyur Lingpa (1829 - 1870) Large the Tertön, Chogyur Lingpa or Chokgyur Lingpa or Chokgyur Dechen Lingpa was born in Nagchen in l´est from the Tibet during the life from the 14th Karmapa. He was recognized as being a reincarnation of prince Murub Tsenpo whose father was the famous king Trisong Detsen (IXe century) who invited Padmasambhava with the Tibet. He took part with Jamgon Kongtrul Lodrö Taye and Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo in the movement non-sectarist of Buddhism Tibetan of the XIXe century (Rimé).

Regarded as one of the principal Tertön S in the history Tibetan, her Terma S is practiced by the schools Kagyu and of Nyingma. Chogyur Lingpa means “sanctuary of eminence”.

Another of its preceding incarnations was large the Tertön, Sangye Lingpa, which revealed the LAMA Gongdu. Chokgyur Lingpa was one of the 100 Tertön S principal. It held the seven transmissions and is considered as universal monarch of all the Tertön S. Indeed, no other Tertön did not transmit teaching on the Section of the Space (Longde) of Dzogchen. There were several revelations on the Section of the Spirit (Semde) and all the principal Tertön S transmitted the Section of the Instruction (Mengagde), but only Chogyur Lingpa transmitted the Section of Space. This is why Dzogchen Desum is regarded as the most extraordinary Terma which it ever transmitted. The wife of Chogyur Lingpa was Dechen Chodron and Padmasambhava had prophesied that his/her three children would be emanations of the three Bodhisattva: Avalokiteshvara, Manjushri and Vajrapani. “I do not like to say this, because one can believe that I praise my family of line, but this prophecy was carried out. The emanation of Manjushri was Wangchok Dorje, the emanation of Avalokiteshvara Tsewang Norbu and the emanation of Vajrapani was my grandmother, Konchok Paldron” (extracted from Blazing Splendor: The Memoirs off The Dzogchen Yogi Tulku Urgyen Rinpoché ).

The prophecy of Chogyur Lingpa concerning the Karmapa S

C´est by visiting the monastery of Nagchen in l´Est Tibet, qu´il had Padmasambhava the prophetic vision of the 21 incarnations of the Karmapa.

Chogyur Lingpa described its vision with Karmai Khenchen Rinchen Tarjay, l´abbé of the Karma Monastery, which reproduces in painting prophecy on silk. Disciples of Chogyur Lingpa reflect written prophecy and compiled a text which was printed with the monastery of Mindroling (monastery founded in 1676 by Terdak Lingpa, large a Tertön of the tradition Nyingmapa)

Here how it describes its vision of the 17th Karmapa:

In the field (of the vision) in front of the mountains, there are rocks and pines, and 17th of the rosary of the incarnations, accompanied by Khentin Taï Sitou Rinpoché, their spirits amalgamated in one. That means that the sheets and the petals of the lesson of the Bouddha will open out (thanks to l unity of their spirits) and that there will be many fruits of the gasoline even of the transmission of Gampopa.
