Chnodomarius

Chnodomaire (in Latin Chnodomarius ) was until in 357 the king of the Alamans established in Ortenau, on Right Bank of the the Rhine. Under its command and that of its nephew Agenarich (Serapio), a coalition alamane was beaten by the emperor Julien in year 357 in Oberhausbergen, in the west of Argentoratum (Strasbourg). Captive fact then led to Rome, Chnodomaire died there a few years later in the barracks of the foreign troops on the Mount Caelius.
