Chiyoda

Chiyoda (千代田区, Chiyoda-ku ) is one of the 23 special districts (区, ku ) of the center of Tokyo, created on March 15th 1947 to reorganize the old dissolved municipality. It includes/understands the imperial palace the imperial palace and its surroundings. Its surface is of 11.64 km ². It is the political center of Japan: one finds there the Parliament, the residence of the Prime Minister, the supreme court, the Sanctuaire of Yasukuni and many ministries and administrations. Many head offices are also established in this district where work nearly 900.000 people, for less than 50.000 residents.
