Geography
Ruins of the castle of Saint-Sorlin who was built by Humbert de Commercy between 1301 and 1312 on a ground which resulted from a dismemberment of the baronnie of Clairvaux. In 1340, the seigniory of Saint-Sorlin was sold at the house of the Balsam. The castle resisted victoriously the Large Companies in 1361, which however did not prevent the same year, the ruin of the borough established with its feet, in the west. It was definitively destroyed at the time of the Wars of Burgundy by the troops of Louis XI.
