Chisny piton
Primarily constituted of slags, the Piton Chisny is a volcanic celebrity of the Massif Piton of the Furnace, with the island of the Meeting. Its last eruption, approximately 1000 years ago gave the desert and lunar aspect to the plate which it dominates, the Plaine of Sands.
At the end of 2006, the Chisny Piton is the site best had a presentiment of to accommodate the central first geothermic of the island.
