Chinon is a common French, located in the department of Indre-et-Loire and the area Center. It is one of the two sub-prefectures of Indre-et-Loire (the other being Loches). Its inhabitants are called the Chinonais . Chinon is also called “the flower of the garden of France”, the aforementioned garden being the Touraine.

Geography

History

First fortifications of the Castle of Chinon

The Castle of Chinon

The Equestrian Statue of Jeanne d' Arc
