Chinese world
The Chinese Monde is composed of the whole of the Pays of the world which are mainly of Chinese Culture. The world Chinese thus includes/understands:
- the China (中国, 1,3 billion inhabitants);
- Taiwan (台灣, 23 million);
- HongKong (香港, 7 million);
- Singapore (新加坡, 5 million).
This world Chinese also had a strong historical influence, religious and Culturelle on countries the such Japan (120 million inhabitants), both Korea S (70 million inhabitants), the Vietnam (80 million inhabitants), and the Mongolia.
The language
The China, the Japan, Taiwan, both Corées, HongKong and Singapore used and use still at least partly the Chinese characters. The Vietnam does not use them any more. In China, in Taiwan and Singapore, one speaks the Mandarin. To HongKong and in Macao, one speaks the Cantonese.

Chinese Monde is also the name of a quarterly review of reference devoted to the study of China, of Taiwan, of Singapore and problems related to the Chinese diaspora. Created and directed until 2007 by Jacques Baudouin, it is published by the Choiseul editions that Pascal Lorot directs.
