Chinese weather agency
The Chinese weather Agence ( 中国气象局 in Chinese, Clouded Meteorological Administration in English) is the government agency of the Popular republic of China which deals with the services of observations and weather forecasting. It is under the direct control surface of the Council of State.
History
The history of meteorology in China goes back to several millenia. As of 3.000 before J.C, Chinese Nei Tsing Sou Wen writes the first work on the meteorology which also includes/understands forecasts. The astronomers of the Chinese Empire thus colligés the observations of time, a very important subject for an agrarian company. The first modern observatories were founded in the tread of the scientitific discoveries of the 19th century in cities like Shangai and HongKong.The agency is made little of time after the seizure of power of the Communist government in December 1949 under the name of weather Bureau of the central military Commission and replaces the differences organizations pre-unification. In 1994, the Office will be transferred in a civil government agency.
Organization
The Chinese weather Agency counts close to 53 000 employees who are distributed in the 318 regional centers meterologic and 2 300 local offices of 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities (excluding HongKong and Macaü). This counts administrative staff, technique and scientitfic. The Agency comprise various sections in order to satisfy the weather needs for continental China:-
Meteorological observations and of radiation:
- 2.408 ground stations, some with a complete whole of sensors and paying horairement; others with a unit limited or paying daily or with intervals from 3 to 6 a.m.;
- 89 stations of released Radiosonde S maritime
- Muds and stations;
- Network of weather Radars. One counts 58 weather radars conventional not-Doppler to cover the country including 41 of Bande C and 17 of Bande S. One also counts a network 160 radars of Bande X for the short range because they their emissions are very attenuated in the strong rains. However 126 radars of new generations being the data speed (Doppler) are will replace the old ones gradually;
- Meteorological satellite on circumpolar orbits and Geostationary S of the series Feng-Yun launched by China
