Chimène Badi

Chimène Badi is a French Chanteuse of Algerian origin , born the October 30th 1982, with Melun in Seine-et-Marne, of Mohamed and Chérifat Badi.

Biography

It has a brother, Karim, and a sister, Deborah. Three years after its birth, his/her parents decide to move with Villeneuve-on-Market. Since it is very small, Chimène dreams to become singer. After having obtained its BEP, in a vocational school, Chimène passes its professional Baccalauréat agroalimentary (which it will not obtain) in order to become inspector of hygiene in the restoration. But it does not like these studies and Chimène decides to be devoted to the song, its true passion.

Musical career

2003: Popstars season 2

Just a month after this decision, Chimène hears the advertisement of the Casting of Popstars season 2, on M6. She thinks that it is the hour to carry out its dream by trying its blow. She thus presents herself to casting, like with those of Star Academy and Graines of star. Popstars contacts it in first. It passes the first tests, those to sing has cappella in front of the new jury of this second season: Valery Zeitoun, Elisabeth Anaïs and Bruno Vandelli. Valéry Zeitoun, under the charm of its voice, thinks only of only one thing, to produce Chimène in Solo.

After having signed a contract with recording company AZ and to have met Rick Allison, producer of Lara Fabian, Chimène, enthusiastic, share with the Quebec (Canada) to record the splendid song " Between nous". The song was recorded in 5:00, and the album will spend one week to be carried out between Toulouse and the Quebec. It is the January 27th 2003 which individual the " leaves; Between nous" who is classified directly in the 4th place of the best sales the individual ones in France, then finishes 1st classification later 3 weeks. At the end of 6 months, one counts 250.000 sold specimens. The March 11th 2003 leaves the album éponyme " Between nous". The album and the individual one became gold disc each one.

2003 - 2004: Between us and first steps on scene

The June 21st 2003, Chimène tastes for the first time at the scene by singing the second individual " I go you chercher" extract of the album " Between nous" , in front of a public of more than 100.000 people to the Fields-Élysées, for the Fête of the music Chimène is not at the end of its surprises. Johnny Hallyday in person invites it to sing with him on its round of the stages, the title " I you promets". In December 2003, its third individual " If I had known to you aimer" is classified among the five first of the classification.

Beginning 2004, Chimène is named with the Victoires of the music in the " category; French-speaking revelation of the année". She will interpret her new title " then; If I had known to you aimer". Chimene attacks its first scene solo. It begins its first 2 representations with the Casino of Paris, the 20 and January 21st 2004. She interprets titles of Jean-Jacques Goldman, Johnny Hallyday or Edith Piaf. Personalities such as Faudel, Lara Fabian and obviously Valery Zeitoun are present in the room to greet the birth of an artist impossible to circumvent of the French scene.

In September 2003, Chimène interprets the title " Padam". It also takes part in the album " The heart of the femmes" , in the vats the May 18th 2004, with the profit of the Association Laurette Fugain, after having taken part a few days earlier in a giant concert on the place of the Station Montparnasse, at the sides of many artists, the call of the same association. The purpose of this concert was to mobilize the public opinion around the gift of plates. Chimene takes part in the recording of the song " To sing that one them aime" , title written by Crow, on the fate of the children of Africa.

2004 - 2006: Say to me that you like me

After a short moment of absence, Chimène remakes surface for the interpretation of the Film music " the Day according to ". The song left the June 22nd 2004.

The October 12th 2004 leaves the album " Say to me that you me aimes" : it contains 15 titles, of which certain writings by Lara Fabian, Marc Lavoine inter alia. One finds there also a Reprise again of the song of Michel Sardou " I come from the sud" , a song which she had interpreted a few months before in the emission " The song number 1".

2006 - currently: The Mirror

Chimene leaves its third album studio on November 27th, 2006. This new disc entitled the Mirror is preceded by a first beautiful extract Tellement available on the legal platforms of remote loading at the beginning of October.

This prelude to the album the Mirror is a French adaptation of the title Would I know of Céline Dion also taken again by Charlotte Church. The music of this song initially sung in English by Céline Dion is signed Diane Warren; the French text is written by Aleph Cheba.

In 2007, it was to leave its 2nd individual the mirror . The title Why the world is afraid is selected like third extract.

In this album, it includes a song that Sonia Lacen recorded in 2003: Despite everything .

She takes part the time of a duet entitled the song of the men in the album Out-format of Michel Sardou which leaves two weeks before its album the Mirror.
