Saint-Cosme is a common French, located in the department of the Haut-Rhin and the area Alsace.

Geography

Saint-Cosme is a village located in the Sundgau, in the extreme south-west of Alsace, the limit of the Territoire of Belfort. Belfort is to 20 km while Mulhouse is distant of 30 km.

The commune dominates the valley of Traubach and its landscape is primarily made up of cultures (64%) and meadows (11%). The forest occupies nearly a quarter of the surface.

Accessibility is ensured by the secondary road 32 which crosses the village of north to the south and is connected to RN 83 with height of Eteimbes. The station nearest is that of Dannemarie to 10 km on the line Strasbourg - Mulhouse-Lyon.

Places and monuments

church Saint-Like and Saint-Damien : the church has a Gothic bell-tower-porch 15th century. The last level of the bell-tower would go back to the 17th century to still see later. The nave was rebuilt in 1782. The church is girded of a cemetery protected by a wall from fortifications going back to the 14th century.

Movable side, one finds baptismal font gone back to 1625 but the whole of the parts goes back primarily to S.
