Chilka (river)

The Chilka (in Russian: Шилка) is one of the two rivers whose junction gives rise to the Amour. The river has length a 560 km and its basin has a surface of 206.000 km ².
The river, the length whose the city éponyme of Chilka is, is born in the east from the Siberia, in Russia of Asia, of the junction of the rivers Ingoda and Onon. Starting from Nertchinsk, Chilka is navigable. The river moves towards the border Russo-Chinese and joined the Argoun to give rise to the river Amour. The junction takes place to 65 km in the west of Xilinji, capital of the Chinese area of Mohe.
The most important agglomerations bordering Chilka are Sretensk and Nertchinsk in Russia.
