the Children of freedom is a Televised series of French Animation diffused in 1989 on Canal+.

Synopsis

This series puts in scene the course of three children of different social origin: Louis, Charlotte and Antoine abandoned and despoiled their goods by their tutor Faustine de Malcœur. They undertake a combat without mercy against it and its accomplice. After having sealed a pact, that of the “Children of Freedom”, they pursue them through France during the Révolution.

Episodes

Episode 1

January 1789 Antoine Beauvisage is a friend of Louis and Charlotte de Vernissac the children of the Count André. The Countess Faustine de Malcoeur controls the field of Vernissac during the absence of the Count on mission in Americas. Mortenoire is the henchman of Faustine. Antoine is made banish castle by Faustine. But Louis, Charlotte and Antoine find themselves in their hiding-place.

Episode 2

Prince Calemberg arrives at the castle and announces that the ship of the Count sank at sea. Bastille a friend of the Count meets Antoine and a cassette gives to him. Antoine releases Charlotte and Louis but at the time of their Louis running away is made begin again while trying to release his dog. Charlotte will help it and is made also take. Antoine continues them but is made push back. Of return to him the house was put at bag and his/her parents disappeared.

Episode 3

Jacques and Grand wolf track Antoine to recover the cassette. Bastille builds a raft and they descend the Marne. On the way of water they meet Marine and Carmagnole. They bind friendship and take the way of Paris. On their road they cross Mortenoire and its men. They escape to them and arrive Paris.

Episode 4

Antoine seeks Charlotte and Louis with the Bastille. But there is no child. Bâton Rouge finds the track of Prince Calemberg. Antoine sees the Prince who flees. Bâton Rouge takes it in hunting followed by Antoine. Antoine finds Red Bâton in front of an unused house. He finds Charlotte there. Mortenoire appears and attaches Antoine. Later they find Faustine which tightens a trap to them. They are saved by the people in riots. Camille comes to them to assistance slowing down the car of Faustine.

Episode 5

One month passed and Louis is always between the hands of Faustine. Charlotte decides to turn over to the abandoned house and learns that Louis is in Vernissac. Large Wolf and Jacques propose to release Louis in exchange of the cassette. They turn over to Vernissac and manage to release Louis with the assistance of Bastille informed by Camille. Antoine, Charlotte and Louis discover by opening the cassette that Faustine is the sister of Mortenoire and is not the marchioness of Malcoeur.

Episode 6

Louis is made take the cassette by Mortenoire. But the children of freedom decide to reveal the identity of Faustine by placarding posters on the walls of Paris.

Episode 7

Bastille brings a good news. The barge a press to be printed awaits them. But Mortenoire and its henchmen attack them. The chechmate falls on Bastille. Mortenoire locks up everyone in the hold and Jacques scuttles the boat. Louis delivers them. Camille assistance to be failed. But Bastille succumbs to its wounds after having revealed that the Count will be soon of return. The children continue their search and find Faustine and Mortenoire. They denounce them openly.

Episode 8

Antoine buries Bastille and realizes that Faustine beat a retreat. Jacques reveals with the children of freedom the trap which Faustine reserve with the Count. Of return to Vernissac the children of freedom leave Marine and Camille. They are captures by prince Calemberg but the Count is able to deliver them. They go to the castle and drive out Faustine. Antoine finds his parents. They celebrate the victory of the children of freedom.
