Childebrand

Childebrand (v. 690 - † 751), wire bastard of Pip known as '' the Young person '' and Alpaïde de Bruyères, Duke of the Francs, count de Bourgogne. He is at the origin of the family of the Nibelungides attached to the service of the Carolingiens.

In 737, it is with dimensions of his half-brother Charles Martel in the forwardings undertaken against the Sarrasins with Avignon and in Narbonnese.

Succeeding the “Monk of Laon” of which he is relative, he is the “continuator” of one of the medieval Chroniques known as Chronique of Frédégaire, for the part going of 736 with 751.

His/her son Nibelung born in 725 takes in 751 the continuation of the chronicle of Frédégaire.
