Chief of staff of the armies of the United States
The chief of staff of the armies of the United States, in English the Chairman off the Joint Chiefs off Staff is, by law, the military officer of the highest row of the Armed forces of the United States. As its English title indicates it better, it chairs the committee of the chiefs of staff of the four principal weapons.
It is also the principal military adviser of the President of the United States.
He chairs the meetings and coordinates the efforts of the Joint Chiefs off Staff (JCS). The Chief of staff of the armies has his offices with the Pentagone.
Although the function of the Chief of staff of the armies of the United States is important and prestigious, neither the president nor the members of the Chiefs Joint off Staff have authority with the command on the combat units.
