Chicomecoatl
Chicomecoatl (" Seven Serpents") is the goddess of Food and Fertility in mythology Aztèque.
Each September, Chicomecoatl received the sacrifice of an young girl whom one decapitated. The blood spread at the time of the sacrifice was versed on a statue of the goddess, and the skin of the victim was carried by a priest.
It is shown in three different aspects:
- an young girl carrying of the flowers
- a woman who brings death when she embraces
- a mother who uses the sun as shield
