Chico Carrasquel
Alfonso Carrasquel Colón , more known under the name of Chico Carrasquel was born the January 23rd 1923 with Caracas with the Venezuela and is deceased the May 26th 2005 with Caracas. It was a stop-short in major Ligue of baseball of 1950 with 1959.
He was the first player of Latin America to being selected for the match of stars in 1951, and was named four times into total (1951, 1953, 1954 and 1955). In club, it evolved/moved successively for the White Sox of Chicago (1950 - 1955), the Indians of Cleveland (1956 - 1958), the Kansas City Athletics (1958) then the Orioles of Baltimore (1959). In career in the League, it disputed: 1325 matches for an average of: 0.254 with the passage to the beater, 55 blows of circuit and 254 points produced.
