Chiatra
Chiatra (or Chjatra in Corsican) is a common French, located in the department of the Haute-Corse and the Corsica area .
Geography
The village of Chjatra is in the Pieve of Verde, in Castagniccia. It is the first village by leaving the Eastern agricultural plain, it is located at approximately 400 meters of altitude and there is already a very beautiful sight on the plain and the sea. This village could be qualified of junction between the mountain and the plain. It is located on a peak, on slope opposed to that which " look at " Aléria, in against-low, there is an artificial lake of water reserve for the plain. This lake was created on the site of the river of Alesani ( Alisgiani in Corsican) from where the name of this valley: valley of Alesani. The villages around are Canale di verde, Petra di verde, Nuvale or Sant' Andria di Cotone. Chjatra di verde is located at approximately an hour of car in the south of Bastia.

Chjatra was formerly a strategic point because one saw to the pond of Diana who was located only at one handle of kilometers of Aléria.Administration
