Chewbacca

Chewbacca (in the past Chicktabba in French version) is a character of the Star Wars .

The death of Chewbacca

It is while wanting to save a shuttle of refugees with the assistance of Anakin Solo, the son junior by Han Solo and Leia Organa Solo, that Chewbacca found death, saving the life of Anakin in extremis . The loss of his/her best friend will disturb during more than one whole year the life of Han, which will sink in the Alcoolisme and will seek revenge costs that death costs in order to honor with that it earlier released from the Empire of the years.

Wide universe: the family of Chewbacca

Very early in their career of smugglers, Han Solo and Chewbacca, after being entered in possession of the Falcon Millenium , made halt on the native world of Chewbacca, Kashyyyk. It is at this time that Chewbacca found its promised, Mallatobuck, and Maria with it. George Lucas says to be inspired of sound Chien, named Indiana, by creating the character.
the name of Chewbacca is a pun with " chew tobacco" who results in " chew tabac". That explains the French translation Chicktabba used in episode IV (but not in the following).
