Each year, of the demonstrations occur in particular thanks to an association of the city. - Telethon, all the first weeks-ends of December.

Events

  • the death of Patrice Conti, former mayor of Chevry-Cossigny (1995 - 2005). Deceased of an heart attack on October 27th, 2006. From this day and until the next municipal elections, M.Bazier Pierre became new mayor of Chevry-Cossigny.

The place of the town hall became Place Patrice Conti, on June 15th, 2006 in homage and thanks to have made of Chevry-Cossigny, a peaceful city.

Personalities

Solid candidate under more famous child of Chevry-Cossigny, Charles Pathé is born there on December 26th 1863. It will be at the origin of one of the first empires of the Cinéma, the house Pathé.

Edmond Mercy-Jean painter French 1858-1936 raises school of beautiful arts, congeneric of the Seurat painter with whom it will divide a workshop.
