History

The series of the Chessmaster with begun in 1986 with Chessmaster 2000 . It had left on Amiga, APPLE II, Atari ST, Commodore 64 and on DOS. Chessmaster 3000 left in 1991 for Windows 3.x and in 1995 on PlayStation.

In September 2002, Chessmaster 9000 beat the international Large-Master American Larry Christiansen. After a match of four parts, Chessmaster gained 2.5 - 1.5. The program Chessmaster was controlled by John Merlino, the managor of Chessmaster lasting this match. Four different personalities were used in the match. The version Chessmaster Xe Edition , left in 2004, was available on Microsoft Windows and also on Xbox.
