Chessington World off Adventures
Chessington World off Adventures is a Parc with family topic located as its name indicates it to Chessington, with 25km in the western south of London, in England. The park has a broad choice of attraction, but what makes its characteristic, it is that it has since its whole beginnings a zoo.
History
In July 1931, the Chessington Zoo opens these doors. The park at that time does not contain attractions. The owner, Reginald Goddard created this zoo to expose his private collection of animals. After the war, in spite of the additions of a circus and a miniature train, the visits decrease little by little.
In 1978, the park is then sold with the group Pearson (which repurchased later Mrs Tussauds for a fusion which constituted the Tussauds Group. Pearson invests in the park starting from 1981 and thus gave to the park its current form. Work lasted 6 years, and it is on June 7th 1987 which Prince Edward inaugurated officially Chesington World off Adventures . In 2007, the park became the property of Merlin Entertainments.
