Chess tournament of Sofia

The chess tournament Mtel of Sofia (of the name of the sponsor principal Mtel) takes place every year since 2005, in the town of Sofia in Bulgaria.

It is one of the four major tournaments with the Chess tournament Corus (in Wijk aan Zee), the Chess tournament of Dortmund and the Tournoi of Linares.

It gathers each year 6 international large-Masters among the best world ones, qu clash in a tournament with double rounds (i.e. each player faces 2 times each other player, once with the white and once with the blacks).
