Cheonan
Cheonan is a city of the area of the Chungcheong of the South, in South Korea. Its geographical position is 36°49' Northern, 127°10' Is, approximately 80 km in the south of Seoul. The city is located between Seoul and Daejeon by the highway as by the train. The traditional trains of Gyeongbu Line stop in the center of the city at the station of Cheonan, the express trains KTX stop at the station of Cheonan-Asan between these two cities. The bringing together of Cheonan of the center of Seoul thanks to the KTX in fact remote suburbs, which is also visible in a paradoxical way by the fact that line 1 of the Métro of Seoul is prolonged until Cheonan since January 2005.
Cheonan is known for several agricultural productions of which grape and large Chinese pears, called in Korea Korean pears. The downtown area is compact er surrounded by small mountains. Principal tourist attraction near and the " Hall of the indépendance" (Independence Hall), a whole of patriotic museums, monuments and gardens, including the museum of the Japanese aggression which points out the hardness of this occupation.
A cake in the nut shape and containing is a local culinary speciality. One finds also Byeongcheon Sundae, a dish of made rolls of ox blood and vegetables.
Each autumn the festival " Cheonan Heungtaryeong Festival" present groups of dance and song, as well as rays of products of agriculture.
