Chenouis
The Chenouis - Berber “ I Chenwiyen ” - are Berbères living Chenoua, area of Algérie articulating itself around the Mont Chenoua, culminating point of the the of Algiers Sahel, energy of Bou Ismaïl (40 km in the west of Algiers) until Ténès (200 km in the west of Algiers).
They speak the Chenoui, an alternative of the Berbère very near to the Kabyle. The population chenoui still berbérophone is estimated at approximately 20.000 inhabitants.
