Cheniménil
Cheniménil is a common French, located in the department of the the Vosges and the area Lorraine.
Its inhabitants is called Chnérants.
Geography
The commune is located in the low valley of the Vologne and is surrounded by wooded eminences. Étymologiquement, the name of the village would mean “(group of) houses in the middle of Chêne S”.
History

- Sanctuary of Mercury, located in the national forest of Dens, on the territory of the common neighbor of Archettes.
- Ruins of the Castle-on-Pearl, remains seigneurale, drawing its name from the pearls fished in the Vologne, whose construction was, in 1473, authorized on the hill of Paroy, in the north of the village, by the duke Rene II of Lorraine to Gerard de Haraucourt, seneshal of Lorraine.
- Church Saint-Jean-Baptist, built in 1860 and restored in 1945.
