Feudal castle in ruins dating from the IX or XI dominating all the village and the valley from Rents.Castle of Buillon: beautiful property having belonged to the painter James TISSOT and to his family and to 19 and 20èmes centuries.
Abbey XII. Monks cistercians occupied the abbey located with Buillon jusqu with the revolution. There remain so to speak nothing any more of this establishment. Only some ruins remain in the Park of the Castle of Buillon
The parish church is located near Rents. It was altered with the wire of the centuries. The bell-tower porch dates from the 14th century. The first part of the nave is of Burgundian type. The second part of the nave and the chorus date from the medium from the XIXe centuries. The church is dedicated to the Holy Cross of Christ. The employers' festival is on September 14th. This church with the characteristic to be in floodplain, like part of the houses of the old village. The voluntary ones remove the chairs and dismount the parquet floor during each flood. In Christmas 1995, there be nearly 40 cm of water in the church. The building has two bells, including largest weighing 1,2 tons.
Masonries of the XVI
The forging mills of Chenecey and Buillon made the industrial fame of the commune. They closed after the second war.
