Chen Xitong

Chen Xitong (born in June 1930 in the disctict of Anyue, Sichuan -) is a politician of the Popular republic of China, which was one the tops ditigeants Chinese Communist party before knowing disgrace, and was mayor of Beijing of 1983 with 1993.

Protected from Deng Xiaoping, Chen Xitong was dismissed under the accusation of corruption after the suicide of an assistant mayor of Beijing. Stopped in, July 1995, it was excluded from the Chinese Communist party in September 1997 by XVe Congrès of the Party, which had ratified the decision to engage of the legal proceedings against him. Its lawsuit was the first of a member of the Political office since the judgment in January 1981 of famous the Bande of the Four, directed by the widow of Mao, Jiang Qing. He was condemned in 1998 to 16 years of prison. ----
