The Railroad Trans-Iranian is a major project of railway construction started in 1927 and finished in 1939, under the direction of the Iranian monarch Reza Shah. The goal was to build a railway network uniting the capital Teheran with the Persian Gulf and the Caspian Sea. The Railroad Trans-Iranian was entirely built using Iranian capital. It is 1394 km long and crosses 4700 bridges and 224 tunnels.

The first line passes along high assembly lines, and of the international building firms were very implied in the construction industry. Gradients going from 1 to 36 are necessary, in addition to the techniques of rise of hill like the spiral .
