Chemin de iron of the White-Money

The Railroad of the White-Money or BA is French district distributers with metric gauge Track, which in the beginning connected the White (Indre) to Money-on-Sauldre (Cher), and whose activity is limited to the passenger traffic between Salbris (Loir-et-Cher) and Luçay-the-Male (Indre) on 67 km. The section Money-on-Sauldre - Salbris was displaced.

This line is in contact with the network the SNCF in Salbris (line Orleans - Vierzon) and in Gièvres (Ligne Vierzon - Turns). Between Salbris and Gièvres, it serves Romorantin-Lanthenay.

This line property of RF is exploited, on behalf of the SNCF, by the Company of the White Money, which was a long time a company with family capital before being recently repurchased by Keolis (subsidiary of the SNCF), within the framework of the service FOR THE THIRD TIME of the Région Centers.

Since 2003, the service road is ensured by five Autorail S new built by CFD with Bagnères-with-Bigorre, numbered X 74501 to 74505. They materialize the will of the District council of the Center to maintain this control line. The new material proposes a comfort equivalent to the rail-cars X 73500, with in particular the Climatisation.

The goods traffic, which required a transshipment because of the difference in spacing, ceased in 1988.

Part of the line closed in the south of Luçay-the-Male, is exploited in the seasonal tourist train by a Association law of 1901, SHEBA (Company for the Animation of the White-Money), between Argy and Luçay-the-Male.
