Chemin de iron Eagle-Sépey-Diablerets

The line Eagle-Sépey-Diablerets (ASD) is a long line of Railroad 23 km, with single track with metric spacing, connecting the Gare Aigle to the Diablerets.

It forms part since 1999 of Public Transports of Chablais which includes/understands:

  • Railroad Bex-Villars-Bretaye (BVB);
  • Railroad Eagle-Leysin (Al);
  • Railroad Eagle-Sepey-Diablerets (ASD);
  • Railroad Eagle-Ollon-Monthey-Champéry (AOMC).

History

  • 1857 : arrival of the Lausanne line - Simplon with Aigle
  • 1914: Opening of the line
  • 1940: Set fire to deposit, 3 railcars and 4 cars travellers were the prey of the flames
  • 1987: 4 new railcars.
