Chemin de iron Eagle-Ollon-Monthey-Champéry

The line Eagle-Ollon-Monthey-Champéry (AOMC) is a long line of Railroad Swiss 23 km, with single track and metric spacing, connecting the Gare Aigle to Champéry.

It forms part since 1999 of Public Transports of Chablais which includes/understands:

the Railroad Bex-Villars-Bretaye (BVB);
the Railroad Eagle-Leysin (Al);
the Railroad Eagle-Sépey-Diablerets (ASD);
the railroad Eagle-Ollon-Monthey-Champéry (AOMC).

History

1857 : arrival of the Lausanne line - Simplon with Aigle
1907: opening of the line Eagle - Monthey
1907: opening of the line Monthey - Champéry
1946: fusion of the two companies
1954: new material
1991: prolongation until the west of Champéry, departure of the cable car
1999: regrouping of the ASD, Al, the BVB and Aomc to form the TPC
2001: opening of the deposit in Châlex
2003: startup of the railcars Beh 4/8 number 591 and 592
2006: opening of the direct section skirting the ways CF between In-Châlex and Eagle CF
