Chemical series
A chemical series is a group of chemical elements whose chemical and physical properties gradually vary end of the series to the other.
The chemical series were discovered before the creation of the periodic table of the elements, which was precisely invented to try to organize the elements according to their chemical properties.
Many chemical series correspond exactly to a group of the periodic table. This is not a coincidence, but as the properties which group the elements between them come from same a configuration of the electronic orbital , this the place logically in the same group of the periodic table.
