Chelidae
Of the Chelidés approximately 40 S of tortoise S Pleurodires includes/understands. They are watery. She live in Australia, New Guinea and South America.
Description
The Chelodina expansa is largest of the Chelidae with nearly 50 cm adult, smallest is the Pseudemydura umbrina with 15 cm adult. These two species belong to the same subspecies of the Chelodininae .They are watery or semi-watery. The majority of the species live in calm fresh water or the marshes, although the Chelodina siebenrocki live in salt water.
Distribution
The Chelodininae live only in Australia and New Guinea, Indonesia, while the Chelidinae and Hydromedusinae live in South America.Systematic
