The Cheesecake , literally “cheese cake”, is an American cake containing cheese.
Origins
The two receipts (Jewish and Italian) of American Cheesecake find their origins in the quartierss immigrants in New York at the beginning of the XXe century. What one calls today, apart from the city, the New York cheesecake is rather the Jewish receipt. Heavier than Italian, containing ricotta (equivalent of the bush of Provence), it owes its savor with the cream and the cream cheese
