Chavakacheri
Chavakacheri (in tamoul: சாவகச்சேரி) is the second Ville of the Péninsule of Jaffna, with the Sri Lanka. Its name would mean “the locality of the Javaneses” It was formerly a flourishing locality, but it was very damaged during the years of civil war since 1983. After the cease-fire concluded in 2002, the population undertook to rebuild the city, but it found yet its level of before the conflict, neither in economic terms nor in terms of the number of inhabitants.
