Chauvinistic Rémy

Rémy (Andre, Joseph) Chauvinistic (October 10th 1913 -) is a Biologiste and Entomologiste French, highly skilled professor emeritus in the Sorbonne, science Doctor, Senior research worker since 1946. It is also known to defend the rights of the animals and to be interested in topics like the Paranormal, the Voyance or the phenomenon Ovni and the Ufologie.

Biography

Wire of Marie-Louise Tapin, biologist, it makes his secondary studies with the college of Laval, then four years of studies of medicine, and between with the Faculty of Science of Paris. It obtains its doctorate of natural science in 1941.

He is biologist, naturalist, entomologist, highly skilled professor emeritus in the Sorbonne (science doctor, ex-professor of ethology and animal sociology since 1959 - former student, then assisting Pr P.P. Grassé), and is also member of CNRS as of 1942 (In charge of research, then Senior research worker in 1946), professor with the Office of the scientific research Outre-Mer (Physiology and Biology of the insect, of 1944 with 1953), research director with apiarian INRA at the research laboratory of Bore-hole-on-Yvette, of 1948 with 1964 (at the house of Jules Lair), professor of general Psychophysiology to the Faculty of Science of Strasbourg, in 1964, and professor of animal sociology at the university Rene Descartes (Paris V - Sorbonne).

Fellow of the zoological Company of India since 1950, then prize winner of the Academy of Science in 1956 (Schenk Price), it will direct successively three laboratories in the years 1960: the laboratory of biology of the bee of INRA in Bore-hole-on-Yvette, of 1948 with 1964, the laboratory of psychophysiology of Strasbourg, of 1964 with 1968, and the laboratory of experimental ethology of the École Practices High Studies in Mittainville, starting from 1969 (university of Paris). It continues its research on the social behavior of the insects to the castle of Ivoy-the-Pre, with the beginning of the year 1990. Its work on the insects and the birds (it is often helped by his wife) makes authority. Author of more than one about fifty works - devoted primarily to the animal ethology (behavioral science) - and more than two hundred and fifty publications published in specialized scientific newspapers, the such reviews Insects or Bees and Fleurs (but also in Question of of Louis Pauwels, between 1974 and 1977), he is also member of the editorial board of Brussels of the international Revue Pierre Teilhard of Chardin in 1960, member of the leading council of the Journal off Scientific Exploration , of the scientific advice of the interdisciplinary Université of Paris (UIP), since 1995, and member of honor of association Plasticities Sciences Arts.

In September 1977 he is cofounder of the “French League of the rights of the animal”. He is also founding member of the “international League of the scientists for the use of the French language” (LISULF) on December 10th, 1979 (after having taken part in the scientific association of psychology of French language), member of the “Musée of the languages of the world” and to advise scientific foundation Marcel and Monique Odier of psychophysical with Geneva, since 1992 (other members: Louis Pauwels and Gabriel Véraldi). In 2002, he sponsors consumers' association “Ground of Bees”, with the professor Jean-Marie Pelt.

Member of the journalistic team of Planet during this period, it côtoya Bernard Heuvelmans, Aime Michel, Jacques Bergier, or Louis Pauwels. He is member of honor of the international Institut metapsychic (IMI).

He is the husband of Bernadette Muckenstürm.

Positions on the Evolution

Chauvinistic Rémy, continuing a French tradition defended by Pierre-Paul Grassé or Piveteau, is shown very critical with regard to the Darwinisme and of the Sociobiologie as a specialist in the animal behavior. Here a summary of its positions developed in three works mainly ( God of the ants, God of the stars ; the biology of the Spirit; Darwinism or the death of a myth ):

the neodarwinism is a whole of tautologies (for example the natural selection predicts the survival of most suited. However which is most suited? That which survives!).
the life is characterized by an immense adaptability with very wide variations of mediums.
the narrowness of the adaptation, it is death (ex: the panda, nourishing only bamboos, is condemned to died to more or less long run).
Beside a complicated device, one can often find some simpler in the vicinity which functions apparently as well.
the Evolution is interested in the goal and not in the means which can be very different (ex: the wing and flight).
the medium is selective only in one very small number of case.
the Evolution is directed. It is an internal program which proceeds and which does not retrogress. The set aim seems to be most possible psychism.

Rémy Chauvin was the object of many criticisms on behalf of other scientists because it would call upon mystical concepts (the Demiurge and diffuse will in the biology of the Spirit), and would attack more one caricature of the Darwinism than to the Darwinism. One also shows it to reinforce by his critics the creationnism (although Rémy Chauvin is an evolutionist).

Critics skeptics

Its opening for several decades with the Parapsychology and the Ufologie has attracted to him criticisms of the skeptics. It is particularly reproached to him for mixing scientific theories and pseudo-scientists with concepts resulting from the movements neo-occultists: in its work With the listening of beyond the , it takes position in favor of the IPC (Instrumental Trans-Communication, i.e. the search for communication with deaths by means of modern technology) and it uses the esoteric concept of égrégore to explain the phenomenon Ovni (a position which concerns the extraterrestrial Hypothèse to the second degree).

The skeptics reproach him moreover one proximity of spirit with the review Planet and works it the Morning of the Magicians of Jacques Bergier and Louis Pauwels.
