Chauvinism

The chauvinism is an excessive and aggressive demonstration Patriotisme and/or Nationalisme. It is the reflection of an exaggerated admiration, even too exclusive, of its country.
The “chauvinistic” name indicated a too enthusiastic type of soldier under the First Empire. The name was spread since the comedy the tricolor rosette of the Cogniard brothers in whom an actor, name of Chauvinistic, personifies a Patriotisme exaggerated.
In the years 1960 and 1970, the chauvinism term was employed by the feminist movement to tax the family system to be patriarchal.
Etymology
The word comes from the family name of Nicolas Chauvin.
