Chaumontel
Chaumontel is a common French, located in the department of the Val-d'Oise and the area Île-de-France. Its inhabitants is called Chaumontellois (be).
Its name comes from calvo monticulo , the mount bald person.
Geography
The borough is located in the valley of the Ysieux, between the flat of France and the Forêt of Chantilly, to about thirty kilometers in the north of Paris.
The commune is bordering on Luzarches and the department of Oise (Picardy).
History
Few tangible traces of an occupation before the 11th century. Only one site of the time mérovingienne put at the day.
In 1004, donation of a ground called Outreville (the name remained to indicate the dependences, today private property, of the castle of Chaumontel).
At the 13th century, a vault is set up in parish church " branch of Luzarches". It is placed under the ND term of the Nativity in 1528.
The lords of Chaumontel appear as of the 11th century. Chaumontel belongs partly to the lords of Luzarches by act of 1381.
At the 18th century, the seigniory of Chaumontel (castle and stronghold of Pralet and mill of Glume of 1238, now disappeared) is the property of the family of Cop.
The manor of Chaumontel is the place of creation per Clerc's Office, towards 1750, of Besi de Chaumontel, Poire buttered resulting from a white beet cultivated since 1670 (Agathe Pain).
Borough with agricultural vocation until the 19th century, Chaumontel saw to be established in turn an industry of Dentelle S of Chantilly, tablettery and metal pearls intended for the Passementerie, exported in England and with the the United States, then a plastic industry, and today various metal industries.

Chaumontel belongs to the jurisdiction of authority of Écouen, and great authority as well as trade of Pontoise.
