Chaudfontaine (in Walloon Tchôfontinne ) is a common French-speaking of Belgium located in Walloon region in the Province of Liege.

Geography

Sprinkled by the Vesdre, a tributary of a tributary of the Meuse, it is located at ten kilometers in the south-east of Liege. As its name indicates it, several sources of warm water, single in Belgium, spout out of its ledge at a temperature of 36,6°C.

Some of these exploited sources offer the water slightly mineral-bearing, recommended by the Belgian Academy of Medicine for the food of the infants and settings in bottles on the spot for large distribution. Other sources are intended for the cures at a watering-place, ideal for the treatment of rheumatisms.

The fort of Chaudfontaine, destroyed partly during the second world war, overhangs the commune, offering a splendid panorama. In his walls, one cultivates cultivated mushrooms there. From there, various walks leave towards the Casino Chaudfontaine and the thermal spring, like worms the entity of Be worth-Under-Chèvremont.

In top of the hill of Chèvremont, the Basilica dominates the valley of Vesdre as well as the town of Liege with its superb point of view. The visual angle goes from the hill of Cointe to Coronmeuse.
