Charollaise (hen race)

The Charollaise is a hen race which draws its name from the area of the Charolles, the Charolais, officialized in 1966. It is a white poultry of intermediate size (Cock of 3,5 kg and hen of 2,5 kg) characterized by a strong chest, a line of the back horizontal and long, projecting thighs without puffing out, an average tail and a curly peak.

The grouping of the stockbreeders of the Charollaise hen, French Charollais-Club (CCF), created in 1997, is in charge of the safeguard, improvement and selection of the hen charollaise , poultry belonging to the inheritance of the Charollais. Its seat is with the town hall of Charolles.
