Charlotte Reinagle Cooper Sterry (September 22nd 1870, Ealing, England – October 10th 1966, Helensburgh, Scotland) is a British player of Tennis of the end of the 19th century and beginning of the XX {{E}}.
Member of the Ealing Lawn Tennis and Archery Club , this athlete elegant and slim gains the first of his five titles into simple to Wimbledon in 1895, vis-a-vis Blanche Bingley Hillyard finally.
Nickname mée “Chattie”, it takes down (after the women were authorized to contribute) the first female gold medal of the history of the Olympisme, with the Jeux of Paris in 1900. With Reginald Doherty in mixed double, she adds one second of the same metal of it.
In 1901, it Marie and becomes Mrs Sterry. Mother, it takes again tennis later a few years and triumphs ultimate once at Wimbledon, in 1908: at 37 years and 282 days, it to date remains gaining it oldest of the test.

Her husband chaired the Lawn Tennis Association . Her daughter, Gwen, it was also tennis player and represented the Great Britain at the time of the Wightman Cup.
Charlotte Cooper Sterry died in 1966, at 96 years.
