Charlie Pace

Charlie Hieronymus Pace is a fictitious character Feuilleton televised Lost, the missings . He is interpreted by the actor Dominic Monaghan.

Biography

Before the crash landing

Charlie is a musician coming from Manchester to the the United Kingdom. Being child, his love for the music was rewarded by a Piano offered by his/her parents. During a voyage in family with Butlins, encouraged by his/her father, Charlie learns how to swim with very an young age. During a time, he played of the guitar on the street and was seen playing Wonderwall of Oasis by Desmond in one of his flashbacks. In the same episode, one discovers its second first name “Hieronymus”. A little later it starts to rain, Charlie leaves to shelter and sees in an alley that a woman is being made steal her handbag. It beats the robber and returns to the woman her handbag and she says to him that he is a hero. The woman proved to be Nadia, in love one with Sayid.

It became later the bass player and the principal type-setter of songs of his group called Drive Shaft, a group of Rock formed with his Liam brother. Charlie initially hesitates to be invested in the adventure Drive Shaft. But, Liam, his/her brother convinces it to take part in it then reveals to him that Charlie is the group with him only. Charlie accepts the promise of his/her brother to dissolve the group if they did not get along well any more. After its beginnings, the group saw a difficult situation and nothing goes more until their song You All Everybody passes for the first time to the radio. Also when him and Liam celebrate Christmas in Finland, Liam gives its ring Drive Shaft to Charlie - a heritage of family given to the groin of each generation. The name of the group was found by using the initial ones registered in this ring which belonged to one of his/her parents.

The fame of the group falls because Charlie does not control any more the band, Liam becoming increasingly depend on drug. Little before a concert, Charlie calls Liam which agrees to finish the band, but Liam is annoyed and shouted that “it” (Liam) is the band. Only in a cloakroom and afflicted by the fact that the things also went far, Charlie also turns to the Héroïne. The notoriety of Drive Shaft is with the lowest sound only success being the song You All Everybody which is an enormous business success. Charlie starts again to write words and makes an effort to try a come-back. But, one day he discovers the absence of his piano. Liam laid down in the armchair says to him that it bought a ticket for Sydney where his/her mother and her sister moved.

The group having splitté, Charlie resorts to the flight to be able to buy its heroin. It tries to allure a rich woman called Lucy in order to try to steal it, but it develops sincere feelings for her. His/her father obtains to him a work of salesman of photocopiers. Their relation fails when Lucy discovers its intentions first. Charlie finds an occasion to carry out a eight weeks round so that Drive Shaft to replace an other group, it then flies away for the Australia in order to convince Liam to join the group. In the episode Exodus 2 {{E}} left , Charlie awakes in a hotel room, with another woman with him in the bed. Trying not to awake it, it search for way unrestrained its heroin amount in a pile of clothing. Just before it leaves, the awaked woman the trap to prevent it from leaving with heroin. It tries to escape and thereafter it leaves the room, leaving Charlie alone with heroin. Charlie catches the elevator, but is made delay when Hurley tries to enter although the elevator is completely full.

Aboard plane, Charlie will get rid of heroin by packing it in a plastic sachet which it will throw in the toilets little before the Turbulence S.

After the crash landing

Season 1

Charlie adopts a soft and nice attitude during its first days on the island. The first night, it approaches Claire being cold and its cover offers to him. It joint with much of initiatives of survival, often to avoid exclusion and to be regarded as useful. It tries to speak with the survivors to know if they identify the celebrity that it was. In the first episodes, Charlie accompanies Jack and Kate in a mission where it was necessary to find the transmitter of the message. With the site of the wreck of the Cockpit of the plane, it discreetly recovers its heroin amount which it had thrown in the toilets during the flight before the crash landing. Thus, Charlie always has drug on the island.

Locke discovers its leaning and convinces Charlie to give up drug while returning its guitar to him. In the Moth , Charlie suffers from lack and requires that Locke return its heroin to him. Locke is not intimidated, but agrees to tell him the hiding-place if Charlie deals with the consequences. When Jack is blocked by rocks broken down in a cave, Charlie crawls by a well and the fate from there. He asks third once Locke his heroin, he gives it to him but Charlie throws it in fire, gaining the respect of Locke at the same time.

Charlie develops an affinity for Claire who is still pregnant and encourages it to leave to shelter with the caves. Charlie and Claire are removed by Ethan which takes along Claire but leaves Charlie hung with a tree. It will be reanimated by Jack. After Claire returned to the camp, Ethan comes to Charlie by threatening it to one by one kill the other survivors until Claire to him is brought. The survivors conceive a plan to capture Ethan, but, Charlie irritated keep silent Ethan with the gun that Jack dropped.

After Claire gave rise to Aaron, Charlie consolidates its relation for the mother and the child. In the last episode, Danielle removes Aaron and him and Sayid follow it. Charlie is wounded by one of the traps of Danielle. But thereafter, both find Danielle and recover the child. While following Danielle, they find to two the Beechcraft (where Boone was wounded) and Sayid while passing discovers that the cargo of the plane consists of heroin hidden in statues of the Virgin Mary. Later, one of the statues is seen in the bag of Charlie.

Season 2

When stocks of food of the trap door are distributed to the survivors, Charlie offers the occasion to Claire to taste the Peanut butter which she asked. When Claire discovers the statue of the Virgin Mary, he explains why he found it in the jungle but heroin does not mention. Charlie is disappointed after she asked Locke and Eko of information about the statue. Charlie insists on the fact that he does not take drugs but Claire says to him to leave and to remain far from her.

Locke discovers a hiding-place where statues were hidden by Charlie and confiscates them. Charlie has a series of dreams where he sees Aaron in danger. He speaks about it in Eko, which suggests that the child should be baptized. Charlie has another dream, awakes and notes that the baby is at the edge of water. Claire takes again her child, gives a slap to Charlie and returns in anger to the camp Later, Charlie begins a fire to distract them, steals Aaron, and leaves to the ocean. When Charlie was discovered, he explained why he tried to baptize the baby as Eko had advised. Charlie gives finally Aaron to Locke which after having returned it to Claire struck it. It depresses completely, sees its credibility with zero and Locke to replace it at Claire.

At the time of a plan of Sawyer aiming at seizing the guns of the trap door, Charlie makes believe that “the Others” try to remove Sun. Sawyer offers to Charlie a statue of the Virgin Mary like payment, but Charlie refuses and says that he does not want drug but to only cooperate with Sawyer to humiliate Locke and to render comprehensible to him what is to feel “like an imbecile”. Charlie will admit this crime later.

Charlie joint with Sayid and Ana-Lucia in the research of the balloon of Henry Scale. Charlie develops a bond with Eko based on their mutual religious belief and with the assistance of the project to build a church. It tries to repair its error with Claire by giving him a vaccine coming from the trap door so that Aaron and she are not sick. When Eko gives up the construction of the church, Charlie only continues. Vincent, the dog of Walt, leads Charlie to the hiding-place of Sawyer. He removes all the remaining statues of the Virgin Mary and the lance in the ocean, releasing himself finally from sound Addiction.

Charlie agrees to help Eko for réentrer in the trap door after being locked up outside by Locke and Desmond. Charlie provides to Eko the Dynamite but becomes anxious when it observes Eko pose dynamite beside the door and light the fuse. The explosion throws Charlie on the back and leaves it sounded. Charlie tries to leave Eko to try to help it although it is wounded, but, it can escape only. It returns to the camp being unaware of the destiny of the others who are in the trap door. Its hearing damaged temporarily. When that the night fall, Charlie and Claire relight their relation by a kiss.

Season 3

The next day, Charlie can hear again. When Locke returns to the camping, he asks Charlie to make the guet while he communicates with the island. Later, Charlie helps Locke to seek Eko, crossing in way déboussolé Hurley and what there remains trap door. Charlie and Locke arrive at the entry of a cellar and Charlie waits outside. Locke comes out from it with Eko which is wounded and both bring back it to the camping. There, Claire, Nikki, Paulo and Charlie deal with looking after Eko ( Embuscade ). Later, by seeing Desmond trying to persuade Claire to change place, Charlie intervenes and refuses that it moves. However, a few hours later, the Foudre fall on the shelter from Claire but thanks to the Paratonnerre manufactured by Desmond, Charlie, Claire and Aaron are saved ( a history of heart ).

Later, Charlie and Hurley excavate the hiding-place of Sawyer when Desmond take them along in the jungle, where they learn from dead from Eko. Charlie is pilot that Desmond saves Claire of the drowning. They wonder how it knew that Claire drowned whereas they had not heard it. He and Hurley give to Desmond Whiskey and try to make him say the truth. It states later that it tested visions of died of Charlie ( Impression of already considering ). While hearing this, Charlie enters a state of depression, refusing to help Hurley in the jungle. However, he manages to go up and Hurley brings it to the van which he discovered in the jungle. After tests to make it function, he asks Sawyer and Jin to push the van in the descent. ( Chance and bad luck )

The next day, Charlie astonishes Claire by offering to him a picnic as lunching until Desmond intervenes which invites it to hunting. When Claire explains her plan to capture a bird, Charlie refuses to help it by saying that he does not want to give him a false hope. This saddens it and after having spoken in Desmond, she confronts Charlie with her destiny. She reassures it and releases the bird which they caught together. ( the Way of the airs ) the next day, Charlie assists research on the mysterious death of Nikki and Paulo. A little later, it says to Sun the truth about its test of kidnapping. It helps later with the burial of Nikki and Paulo, ignoramuses whom they are temporarily paralyzed ( Until in the tomb ).

When Claire falls ill the next day, Charlie proposes to deal with Aaron in her tent. This night, whereas everyone speaks with Jack and Juliet, Charlie catches Claire takes along it in ballade. Claire recovers the baby the next morning ( One as of ours ). Later, Desmond speaks in Charlie about a small round about exploration about the island. It accepts and leaves with Hurley, Desmond and Jin. This night, while speaking with Desmond about Penny, they are pilot of a Hélicoptère which is crushed close to the island. They return to interior of the grounds the next morning to find the parachutist having jumped. Charlie survives dead when Desmond saves it trap assembled by Rousseau. They discover the parachutist during in the trees and try to save it ( the Effect butterfly ).

They are stopped soon by Mikhail which arrives. Although Charlie wants to kill it, one lets it set out again. Once Naomi is a little better, the four turn over to the camp where Charlie brings food immediately to him. He says to Hurley to inform Sayid of his arrival but refuses to say it to Jack ( the Man of the shade ). However when Juliet tells them its mission during a discussion of the group, Charlie and the remainder of the group leave in the jungle, where they indicate their destructive plan to get rid of the others. At the time of the return to the beach, Desmond called to Charlie that it must be sacrificed so that Claire can leave the island.

Realizing that it must accept its destiny, Charlie proposes to swim to the Miroir station, with the great distress of Claire. It ensures to him that all will be well, and makes in the same way with Aaron and Hurley. Whereas Charlie and Desmond embark, he writes a five best moment old list of his life in his eyes on a paper, and gives it to Desmond so that he gives it has Claire. Desmond offers to Charlie to take its place but Charlie strikes it and plunges. It emerges in the station but is captured by two women ( Meilleurs moments ). He is questioned until the arrival of Desmond. Mikhail arrives in its turn and kills one of the women. After any source of conflict was neutralized, Charlie decontaminates the system, which inevitably puts it in contact with Penny Wildmore. However Mikhail reappears by a port-hole and, using a grenade, makes jump the pane, which makes return of water in the station. (It is not known precisely if Mikhail died). Charlie closes the door in Desmond in a hurry to re-examine Penny. The rocker realizes that the so much announced moment arrived: It is here that its way with him stops. It is let absorb until it finds its spirits, seizes themselves of a felt and writes on its hand. It informs Desmond then that it is not the boat of Penny which is close by showing its palm by the port-hole to the door with Desmond (“ Not Penny' S Boat ”. This one was unaware of which was Naomi). Charlie and Desmond exchange glances of friendship, then the young man drowns after being himself respectfully signed. The following plan shows small Aaron, crying in the arms of Claire. Naomi informs the latter then that Charlie succeeded.

Note

Its first name is probably a reference at the end slang english-speaking Charlie which indicates the Cocaïne.
