Charles of Verpillière

Charles of Verpillière , is a French politician born with Borough-in-Bresse the May 31st 1954.

Member of the UMP, he is president of the General advice of Ain.

Biography

Former student of the National school of administration, he was Assistant general secretary of the Council of State of 1982 to 1986 and Maître of the requests to the Council of State of 1984 to 1996.

He is General adviser Canton of Lagnieu since 1988, vice-president of 1992 to 2004, then elected president in 2004. He was mayor of Lagnieu of 1995 to 2004. He was the substitute for Lucien Guichon, appointed of Ain, of 1993 to 1997. He is in addition Chevalier of the Legion of Honor and Chevalier of the National order of the Merit

Candidate UMP with the legislative elections of June 2007 in the Second district of Ain to succeed Lucien Guichon, it was elected as of the first turn with 53,24% of the voices (XIIIe legislature 2007 - 2012).
