Charles of Burgundy (1414-1464)

Charles of Burgundy , born with Clamecy in 1414, dead the May 25th 1464, count de Nevers and of Rethel (1415-1464), wire of Philippe of Burgundy, count de Nevers and of Rethel, and Good of Artois.

It succeeded his father, dead in 1415 with Azincourt, under the supervision of his mother, then of her father-in-law the duke of Burgundy Philippe III the Good. As soon as it was in age to control its States, it approached the king de France and took part in several campaigns in Normandy (1449-1450) and in Guyenne (1451-1453).

He married the June 11th 1456 Marie d' Albret († 1486), girl of Charles II of Albret, lord d' Albret and of Anne of Armagnac. There were no children of this marriage.

De Yolande de Longon, it had a bastard girl, Adrienne of Nevers, which it legitimated in 1463; she married Claude of Rochefort, then with Mézières the May 10th 1466 Jacques de Clugny († 1512)

He died without legitimate wire and his/her brother Jean of Burgundy succeeded to him.
