Charles of Aubespine , marquis de Châteauneuf (1580 - 1653), small son of Claude of Aubespine, baron de Châteauneuf was ambassador of France in Holland (1609), with Valtellina (1626), and in England (1629) then was made Minister of Justice by Richelieu in 1630.
It served the revenge on the cardinal as a voter death of the marshals: Louis de Marillac and of Henri II of Montmorency. Nevertheless, Richelieu removed the seals in to him 1633, and made it throw in a prison of the castle of Angouleme where it remained until the death of Louis XIII.

Anne of Austria returned the seals in to him 1650 but exiled it two years after, because of its too great dealings with the party of the Fronde. It was reconciled then with the court. He died in Leuville-on-Barley (the Essonne) in 1653.
