Charles de Machault d\' Arnouville
Charles Henri Louis de Machault d' Arnouville , known as the “knight of Machault” (before 1773), then the “count d' Arnouville” (1773 - 1830), is a French soldier born in 1747 and died 1830.
Wire junior by Jean-Baptiste de Machault d' Arnouville, General inspector of finances and Minister of Justice of France of Louis XV, it embraced the military career and became colonel of the regiment of Languedoc-Dragons in 1780, succeeding his/her older brother Armand, appointed brigadier
In 1773, it made a love match by marrying Angélique of Baussan (1752 - 1813), heiress of the Château of Thoiry. They had two children:

Eugene de Machault d' Arnouville (1783 - 1867), last male descendant of this branch;
- Angelica of Machault d' Arnouville (1774 - 1822) which married in 1788 Louis Jean Baptiste François of Forest (1757 - 1807).
He was imprisoned with his father and his/her brother Armand with the prison of Madelonettes from May to September 1794 then he was transferred with his brother to the Montprin house. The two brothers recovered freedom in November 1794.
