Charles de Gaulle (born the September 25th 1948 with Dijon) is a French lawyer and politician, wire of Philippe de Gaulle and Henriette de Montalembert. He is the grandson of the general de Gaulle, of which he carries the first name and the brother of Jean de Gaulle.

Biography

Lawyer at the bar of Paris since 1971, it launches out in policy in the Années 1980. Regional adviser of Nord-Pas-de-Calais of 1986 with 1992, he is then member of the UDF. Of 1989 at 1990, he is first assistant of the mayor of Rueil-Malmaison in the Hauts-de-Seine (Île-de-France). In 1989, it is reproduced on the list carried out by Valery Giscard d'Estaing to the European elections. By the play of the resignations, it sits at Strasbourg as from 1993.

With the European elections of 1994, it is elected on the list of the Mouvement for France (MPF) of Philippe de Villiers, left which is opposed to a federal vision of the European Union - directed according to them by only the European commission, not elected - like to future the single currency.

He is not re-elected in 2004.

Within the FN, he seeks to recover all disappointed the gaullists of the RPR then of the UMP. He judges indeed that Jacques Chirac betrayed the gaullism by asserting federal Europe (whereas the general recommended Europe of the sovereign nations) and while wanting to integrate the Moslems within the French company. Moreover he criticizes the liberal policy of Nicolas Sarkozy who takes the place of the ideals gaullists, thus UMP is not more gaullist but a liberal party. Former member of the MPF, it criticizes the recovery of the political ideas of Le Pen per Philippe de Villiers, for this purpose it recalls that Villiers is a former member of the Chirac government in 1986 and that this one between the two turns of the presidential election of 2002 invited to vote Jacques Chirac whereas it criticizes his policy in normal weather.

For him Jean-Marie Le Pen is capable one to the only incarnate the souverainism of France while saying not to the European institutions which take the step on the French Parliament. Thus it made countryside for not with Jean-Marie Le Pen in the name of French resistance. Of sound with dimensions the president of the FN claims to dedicate an admiration as for the policy " souverainiste" of the general de Gaulle (the exit of France of the integrated military Command of NATO so that it is not under the supervision of the United States for example).
