Charles de Froulay
Charles , count of Froulay (or Froullay), (° 1601 - † November 26th 1671), is a French soldier.
Lord of Montflaux, Gastines, Launay, Tremblay, Holy-Soulène and Vignau, Charles de Froulay lived usually the Château of Montflaux. The county of Froulay or Montflaux was set up for him on October 28th 1670.

Wire of Rene Ier de Froulay and of Marie d' Escoubleau de Sourdis , married to Chartres on July 22nd 1596, Charles de Froulay was born in 1601. He is the brother of Rene II of Froulay (° 1597 - † 1671), count de Tessé, baron de Vernie and of Ambrières, general lieutenant of the king (father of Rene de Froulay de Tessé, Marshal of France) , and of Gabriel-Philippe de Froulay († 1689), bishop of Avranches of 1668 with 1689.Charles de Froulay marries on April 18th 1636 Angélique of Baudéan († November 3rd 1678), girl of Charles de Baudéan, count de Neuillan, girl of honor of the queen Anne of Austria . Campaigns
After several campaigns which it makes like volunteer, Charles de Froulay becomes first captain with the regiment of Clères raised in 1636, and is with the seats of Corbie, of Saint-Love, Bletterans, Blamont, Brisach (1637 - 1638).
He replaces his older brother Rene II of Froulay as captain to the French guards in 1640, is used the same year with the seats as Turin , of Yvrée , with Chivas ; with the catch of Ceva , Pianezza , Mondovi ; with that of Coni in 1641; with the seats of Crescentin , Nice , the Straw , Tortone in 1642; with those of Trin , Ast in 1643, of Gravelines in 1644; with the catch of Cassel , Mardick , Link, Bourbourg , Metz-native , Béthune , Saint-Coming in 1646; Dixmunde , 1647; with the blockade of Paris , with the seat of Cambric and with the catch of Cop in 1649.
Large sergeant of the house of the king by provision of August 10th 1650, it dislocates his company and obtains, on July 18th 1651, the rank of Brigadier, which it preserves until his death, on November 26th 1671.
