Charles VII of the Holy roman Empire

Charles VII (Brussels August 6th 1697 - Munich January 20th 1745), wire of Maximilien-Emmanuel of Bavaria of the house of Wittelsbach and Theresa Kunegunda Sobieska, girl of Jean III Sobieski. It is voter of Bavaria starting from 1726 and emperor of the Saint Germanic Roman Empire of 1742 with 1745.
Childhood and education
His/her parents live separately during the War of succession of Spain, his/her father having made allegiance with France, perhaps because of the rumor which showed Vienna of the poisoning of his/her son, chosen by Charles II of Spain like successor. Charles lives then in captivity in Austria and its family only in 1715 joined.
He visits Italy of the December 3rd 1715 with the August 24th 1716. In 1717, it joint with the Austrian armies in the campaigns carried out against the Turks and is useful in the Bavarian auxiliary bodies.
The October 5th 1722, the archduchess of Austria Marie-Amélie (1701 - 1756), girl of Joseph Ier of the Holy roman Empire and of Wilhelmine of Hanover
1725 sees it with Versailles for the marriage of Louis XV.
After the death of the emperor Charles VI of the Holy roman Empire, in 1740, it refuses to recognize Marie-Therese, girl of Charles VI, for heiress of the States of Austria and claims to be entitled to the crown under the terms of a will of Ferdinand Ier. It is supported by the France, and the troops of Louis XV managed to make it crown duke of Austria with Lintz, king of Bohemia to Prague, and finally emperor with Frankfurt in 1742. But fortune did not delay to give up it: it lost in little time all its conquests and was even driven out of its hereditary States. However in 1744, the king of Prussia Frederic II of Prussia having made in Bohemia a diversion which occupied the imperial army, Charles profited to recover his States and returned about it finally in Munich. It died there in 1745.
